Your body is a temple

Your body is a temple,

but today it feels like a ruin

crumbling and decaying all around you

Treat it well and worship it,

is useless advice when you do not feel like

your body is a temple

Today it feels like it cannot get out of bed,

it cannot do all the things it promised

it just crumbles and decays all around you

Today it has let you down again,

you believed them when they told you

your body is a temple

You believed them and they let you down,

mislead by myths and lies your body is

crumbling and decaying all around you

Still it heaves itself out of bed,

steps out and faces the world,

Your body is a temple,

Crumbling and decaying all around you
